The Joel Ferree gunshop was located behind this house. It is currently an antique store known as Paradise Village Antiques. |
|
It is thought this house was built by Joel Ferree on the remains of a home built by his brother, Philip. Located very close to Joel's first house, it was designated as a historical site in the Route 30 Corridor Improvement Study. |
Joel Ferree was the son of Philip and Leah Dubois Ferree and grandson of Madame. He was a very prominent gunsmith called upon during the Revolutionary War to provide arms for the military. |
