Daniel LeFevre, born in 1713, was the third son of Isaac LeFevre and Catherine Ferree. He was the first white child born in the Pequea Valley. Isaac LeFevre provided land for each of his four sons. This tract of 300 acres was acquired for Daniel and located on Bachmantown Road north of his brother Abraham's tract.
The house was built of fieldstone with the walls varying in thickness from twenty-four inches in the cellar to eighteen inches near the peak. This photo shows it covered with weather boarding but that has since been removed. A stone on the back wall reads D.LF 1757.
Daniel LeFevre wa born March 29, 1713 and died in April 1781. He married Mary Catherine Kerr. Lineage: Daniel LeFevre and Mary Catherine Kerr/Isaac LeFevre and Catherine Ferree/Daniel Ferree and Marie Warenbur. |
